I don't know many people when they are first introduced always
get asked,"
Does it hurt? "
When, Janie Winter, the owner, meets someone for the first time, they
inevitably ask,
"Does
it hurt.?"
She always replys, "not
if the practitioner knows what she is doing."
She also adds that she does not use the Tattoo Coil Machine,
or any machine for that matter, on the tender skin of the
face, instead she uses the Hand Method, gently applying the
color with a tool, similar to an artist brush, with
stainless steel acupuncture needles attached.
"It is a
though you are an art project and not a punching bag!"
she says.
Unlike the machine methods, the Hand Method, is so soft and
light, that you experience a great deal less assault to the
skin. There is also greater control with the Hand Method,
especially around the eyes!
This, in her opinion, is a key question to ask a practitioner when
considering getting Permanent Makeup,
"Do you use the Hand Method or a machine?"
A
visit to this new business is packed with, fun,
good music and great beauty information. The clients
leave, not only with their Permanent Makeup procedures but with

to maximize their look
*hair color and style suggestions

Other
commonly asked questions, after, "does it hurt?"
DO I HAVE A CHOICE OF COLORS? Definitely! Janie
has hundreds of colors!
DO I HAVE A CHOICE IN THE DESIGN OF MY BROW,
LINER & LIPS? Absolutely! Being an artist, Janie enjoys co-creating the new look before it is placed in the skin.
Many practitioners are not artists and can
only use STENCILS to create
their brows. This technique quite often appears unnatural and very, very unflattering!! Check first to see if the person you are going
to is an artist. Once it is on your face, it takes an expert like Janie to correct them. In this undertaking you should get it right
the first time. Corrections are expensive and take more than one
visit. BE SURE TO ASK FIRST IF THEY USE STENCILS. IT CAN NOT BE
EMPHASIZED ENOUGH THAT YOU WANT AN ARTIST DESIGNING YOUR OPTIMUM
LOOK.

So,
does it hurt? During the procedure, a numbing crème is
placed onto the area in which the makeup is to be applied.
Janie says, "Like the dentist, at first there may be some
discomfort, but within minutes, there is virtually no
sensitivity to the skin at all."
